6 miles north of Parkgate on the Connor Road. Parkgate accessible off the M2 Templepatrick Roundabout.
Lots of mature singletrack through the trees, and plenty of fire-road options. Great when dry. Very enjoyable for a couple of hours, with flowing loops possible. NOTE: CURRENT FORESTRY OPERATIONS IN EASTERN FOREST ARE KILLING SOME TRAILS!

Park in Duncan's Carpark on Connor to Parkgate Road.

NOTE: CURRENT FORESTRY OPERATIONS IN EASTERN FOREST ARE KILLING SOME TRAILS!

A good selection of forest tracks around the forest on both sides of the road with some single track and downhill sections throughout the forest, particularly off the path leading south east from Carnearny summit. Recent Forestry operations have been carried out on northern slopes of Carnearny.

Many regular users at weekends. A group of local bikers meet most Sundays throughout the year in Duncan's Carpark around 8am. Be careful as the area on the car park side is a popular place for families / walkers, so safety and courtesy are of the utmost importance.

A popular location for night riding during the Winter months but watchout for other "night creatures".

some fantastic new trails have been developed on the tardree side in feb 08, and they really spice up once again what has always been a great forest for a blast.

Good for a couple of hours - watch out for the slippery roots once you get among the trees (not the ones in the carpark although they need watching too!. Agree with PJ that best run (boneshaker) has beeen lost but still worth a visit if your local.

Not bad if you're local, but I wouldn't travel too far to break my Tardree virginity. Saying that, judging by the parking facilities for dog"walk"ers, some people disagree.
Not a patch on Scotland but good for a 2 hour blast, some good technical, but short runs. Truly a million miles from 7 Stanes, but if you enjoy Tardree for what it is, then get your little pedals over to Scotland.

There's variety of short runs packed into such a small forest. Linking them together is a 'work in progess'. Can be very muddy in places.

TD has plenty of scope, great open fire roads to learn, nice single tracks on both sides with some technical sections, some jumps, few drop offs with chicken runs, very rooty and deep ruts, slipy when wet, faster when dry - worth a vist.

A fine spot with some sweet sections of singletrack. Needs a bit of development to link trails together but worth a visit if you want out for a couple of hours. Not a bad spot for night riding.

Some great short singletrack, scattered throughout Tardree. Has great potential for some new trails. Has suffered recently from deforestation and the loss of one of my favourite runs nicknamed "The Boneshaker"

Fantastic technical riding in a compact forest. No really long runs but a good venue for a fun afternoon on the bike.

Tardree is great for a couple of hours. Is especially good when it dries out, although there are only a couple of long runs. Lots of bits of singletrack all over the place though.
