Great family trail. You dont need a mountain bike to complete the 4 mile loop. Any city or hybrid bike with tyres more than about 1" wide, even if they're slick tyres, will get round without any fuss. My 5 year old boy completed it on a 16" wheeled Raleigh bike so no excuses for any parent not to give it a go!

No big hills and no nasty surprises or tight turns. Just go at whatever pace suits you and enjoy the surroundings. The very odd bit of mud but all trails are very well made. Not a challenge for the experienced biker needless to say!

Really nice trails put together by the FS with family cycling encouraged - well done FS. Staying in the camsite with the family is a great idea. Nice flat course that can be taken as fast or slow as you like. Highly recommended for getting kids into it.
