Great location for a whole hoast of reasons. First off, the setting and scenery are spectacular; some lovely forest tracks and then the exposed and rugged beauty of McMoab slabs, Scotland's own granite north-shore. But enough about what you will see and onto what you will feel. The single track is fast and swooping, punctuated with the odd quad busting climb, but for all the pain of the uphills, the downhills make it all worthwhile. When you're approaching the end of a fantastic day's riding, and there's only a click or two before the carpark, you will come upon the piece of resistance, just over a mile of the best single track you could hope to ride. You'll get to the carpark grinning, and unless you're a jessie like you'll peddle up for another shot at that last mile of adrenaline. Just like Churchill, I can guarantee that you won't find a better quote. For the cost of the ferry you'll have a day on the bike that you will not forget!!

Super location, no doubt about it, but there's something that prevents me hanging 5 on it. Lots of well maintained trail, punctuated with some nice technical features. My only criticism is that you need to enjoy stacato ascent/descent. Personally I prefer a good long grind on the ascent followed by a nice long plummet. But saying that, it ain't have bad!!!

You will not be able to shift the smile off your face for a few days after your first visit to Kirroughtree. Brilliantly designed and maintained trails. Almost everything that is good about biking is found here.

Flowing singletrack lovelyness and only a short hop from the ferry. You'll love it unless airtime and hucking are your thing. Rocky, fast, and surfaced so no mud. Graded routes for all abilities... oh, just go there!

Always rideable no matter what the weather has thrown up.
Strictly wheels on the ground stuff.

You get the feeling you are always on singletrack.

as good as you will get anywhere - miles and miles of exhirating xc single track, and the stoned surface stays dry in all conditions.
