Overnight Stays

One option is Greenhead Lodge, which sleeps 8 in a converted barn in
proper (biker) luxury, about 6 miles north of Dumfries. 6 people sharing works out at £15 per person per night!

It is about an hour from Kirroughtree, and no more than 30 mins from Dalbeattie, Mabie, Ae, and Drumlanrig - a perfect base for short trips where you want to ride trails at a number of the centres.

Class place, really enjoyed it. Bit flatter than some others, but more of an XC place. Loads of nice rolly single-track, red route is fully ride-able and a few hairy black 'off chutes' to keep the juices flowing.

Deffo recommended, good day's riding and some cool views to boot!

Not as hilly as some of the nearby locations, so ideal if your new to riding or are unfit. Better riding is just along the road though.
