Overnight Stays

One option is Greenhead Lodge, which sleeps 8 in a converted barn in
proper (biker) luxury, about 6 miles north of Dumfries. 6 people sharing works out at £15 per person per night!

It is about an hour from Kirroughtree, and no more than 30 mins from Dalbeattie, Mabie, Ae, and Drumlanrig - a perfect base for short trips where you want to ride trails at a number of the centres.

  • Class place, really enjoyed it. Bit flatter than some others, but more of an XC place. Loads of nice rolly single-track, red route is fully ride-able and a few hairy black 'off chutes' to keep the juices flowing.

    Deffo recommended, good day's riding and some cool views to boot!

  • Not as hilly as some of the nearby locations, so ideal if your new to riding or are unfit. Better riding is just along the road though.
