Since 2002, Drumlanrig has played host to the Scottish Cross Country Mountain Bike Championships. A mountain bike trail was constructed for these events and is now way-marked for everyone to enjoy.
The course is constantly evolving with new sections of singletrack being added to extend the overall distance and add to enjoyment.

Rik's Bike Shed is located in the grounds of the estate, and there are showers for bikers beside it. Rik offers guided rides and bike hire. Phone 01848 330080 for details.
If planning a trip over, Greenhead Lodge (6 miles north of Dumfries and 11 miles from Drumlanrig) is a good place to base yourself.
