Ormeau Park, Belfast, Antrim

Ormeau Park is the oldest municipal park in Belfast and possesses a variety of riding from tight twisty natural singletrack to tree lined bitumen paths. There’s even a BMX track to brush up on your racing and jumping skills.

Getting There

Ormeau Park is next to the River Lagan being bounded by the Ravenhill Road, Park Road, Ormeau Road and Ormeau Embankment in South Belfast.  If travelling by car it is best to park to the car park at the Ozone Centre, located midway along Ormeau Embankment.  If cycling there, the park is very well connected to the City cycle-path network and is less than a mile from Belfast Central Station if you’re relying on Public Transport

Trail Description

An extensive path network throughout the park make it an excellent venue for a sunny afternoon cycle with the family.

The BMX track is located near the Ozone centre and provides an excellent venue to get some air or challenge your riding partners to a good old fashioned sprit race.

Recently the XMTB club have developed approx 2 km of excellent twisting single track for their Winter XC race series. This trail is located in the trees along the Ormeau embankment between the Ozone Centre and the Ormeau Road. A few laps of this trail will have you smiling but thelegs burning.
