Badger Rating 3.5/5
A popular biking spot for years due to its close proximity to Dublin City and now with sanctioned XC trails. Lots of variety in other unsanctioned trails around the hill.

Getting There

Exit M50 at Junction 13 and travel along Leopardstown Road, Hillcrest and Blackglen road.  Turn left into Ticknock road and continue on approx 1km to Ticknock car park.  From the car park, cycle up the forest road to the aerials to find the start of the sanctioned trails.

  • A great example of what can be achieved in a small area. The single track is well made and can be fast in some areas. The downside side is the length of the trail, so hopefully there are plans to expand. It would be nice to see other purpose build trails link up to this one, rather than have a continuous loop, but saying that there is heaps to explore in this area, just watch out for walkers. 3.5 Badgers as it needs more in the way of berms, table tops and drop offs, now that would be sweet....
