Parkanaur Forest, Tyrone

Badger Rating 4.2/5
A small forest park, but some good trails including nice singletrack. A mixture of 60% singletrack and 40% gravel double track, with some good technical XC climbs and descents.

Getting There

4 miles west of Dungannon on the A4 main road towards Omagh. Well Signposted.

Trail Description

Some altitude to play with keeps things interesting, but nothing sustained or terribly steep.  Some locals train there for XC races, so it is good for a quick blast.

  • Local Riders have built an excellent 1.2mile section of single track. Nice flow to it, tech xc, brings in some good height to the trails for more challange.
  • Ive just moved to Dungannon and want to do some biking, but i dont know any courses.ive been walking in parkanur forest, the deer are fantastic havnt seen any mtb trails???
    love Amyx
  • Not a bad wee spot with some technical XC trails, some nice flowy descents and technical climbs. Good spot for a couple or three laps. Nothing too tricky or hairy except of course the jumps at the back. Mental!
  • This is a good trail! XC. Been riding it for the past month. haven't gathered up the balls to do the 6ft drop at the back though. I live 2mile away so it's handy. It has the potential to be made longer.
  • Got a bike there and this is my local spot. Been there few times was just wondering were all the trails are. Found the jumps Hairy enough.
  • just finnished building some more singletrack approx 1mile extra or so, total now at 3.4miles all technical xc to.
  • Good singletrack and some nice jumps at the back of the forest Well worth a couple of hours. Can be testing enough especially in winter
  • If you like singletrack come and check these trails out!approx 2.5 miles per lap (can be extended to 4 using forestry trails), takes 20mins a lap as its technical going and over 500ft of climbing per lap!its good craic mostly xc tho we have started to make jumps n stuff!
